it can be (you saw glimpses of this in your early days of training), that exhaustion is common and burnout in the field exceeds that of many other professions, and that work/life balance is difficult to attain. You are a witness bearer to life and sometimes to death. Much is expected of you! Yet despite all of that, you committed to the work that you do because for you, on most days, the reward of making a difference in the lives of others far outweighs the constant demands and challenges of your role. Sometimes, your commitment to your work gets in the way of adequate rest, sleep, healthy nutrition, exercise, and time spent with friends and loved ones. Sometimes, YOU need help Too.
